In September 2025, the Business Department of ICD Nam Dinh Vu hosted a strategic meeting with the senior leadership of Duckbill Co., Ltd. to finalize a comprehensive cooperation agreement. The session concluded successfully with the participation of Mr. Han (Director of Duckbill) and Mr. Du (Business Director of Duckbill). This agreement marks a new chapter in optimizing the supply chain and logistics services for both parties, particularly in the fields of multimodal transport and port services.


Cooperation Agreement Between ICD Nam Dinh Vu and Duckbill

1. Domestic Transportation Exploitation Plan

Duckbill will begin utilizing domestic transport capacity at ICD Nam Dinh Vu following a clear roadmap:

  • Phase 1: Launching with the commencement of transportation for 100 to 200 containers of domestic cargo.
  • Phase 2: Scaling up the maximum volume to 500 containers/month, affirming confidence in ICD Nam Dinh Vu’s operating capacity and service quality.

 

2. End-to-End Logistics Services

Duckbill has entrusted ICD Nam Dinh Vu with managing a crucial import shipment of machinery and equipment from China to Vietnam via sea freight. ICD will coordinate and arrange the entire logistics chain, from customs clearance procedures to transportation, ensuring smooth and safe cargo flow.

 

3. Multimodal Transport Cooperation and Service Expansion

The cooperation extends to high-potential multi-transport forms:

  • International intermodal rail transport.
  • Inland waterway transport and specialized barge transport routes.
  • International intermodal transport through neighboring countries such as Laos and Cambodia.

Notably, all cargo routes in the Northern region will be handed over to ICD Nam Dinh Vu for management. Duckbill also expressed the desire to establish a Representative Office right at the ICD Port to optimize operational efficiency and coordination.

 

4. Impressive Business Performance

This cooperation agreement is expected to yield high economic efficiency, with a projected profit margin of 22% per container once operations are underway. This is an impressive figure, demonstrating the meticulous planning and significant operational potential resulting from the synergy between the two companies.

Next Steps in the Partnership

The meeting successfully ironed out the detailed contractual terms and the conditions to meet Duckbill’s specific needs. Both parties plan to proceed with the official contract signing in the near future, formalizing this strategic partnership.
