📢 Draft Strategy for the Development of Vietnam’s Logistics Services to 2035, Vision to 2050 📢

The draft strategy for developing Vietnam’s logistics services through 2030, vision to 2050, is currently being prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Its objective is to achieve sustainable, efficient, high-quality, and value-added logistics sector that is competitive regionally and globally, while leveraging Vietnam’s strategic advantages in the global logistics value chain.

On April 24, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Import-Export Department and the Industry and Trade Newspaper, hosted a workshop in Hanoi titled “Opportunities for Sustainable Logistics Development in the Era of Industry 4.0.”

The workshop focused on key issues essential for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s logistics sector, including digital transformation, green logistics, strengthening multimodal transport connectivity, the development of smart warehouses, and the integration of advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain to optimize supply chains. This specialized event also served as a platform for policy dialogue and partnership building between government bodies, enterprises, and domestic and international organizations.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is finalizing the Strategy for the Development of Vietnam’s Logistics Services for the 2025–2035 period, with a vision to 2050. The strategy sets ambitious targets, including reducing logistics costs to 12–15% of GDP, achieving annual growth of 15–20%, and integrating logistics into the national green growth strategy. It also aims for 30% of logistics vehicles to transition to clean energy and for 80% of businesses to adopt digital transformation.

According to the Ministry, sustainable logistics development in the Industry 4.0 era requires close collaboration between the government and businesses. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is committed to listening, supporting, and facilitating the scaling of innovative models and best practices. (Source: Nhan Dan Newspaper)
